Construction at Gulf Breeze Hospital
Baptist Health Care’s Gulf Breeze Hospital expansion project will result in increased access and convenience for patients of south Santa Rosa County and surrounding areas.
The project includes two phases: the outfitting of two shelled rooms in the current Intensive Care Unit, and the construction of a 10,000–square–foot annex that will house additional inpatient beds for our surgical patients.
The new facilities will also create employment opportunities for medical professionals. The 2–East Annex will need
additional nurses, patient care technicians and support staff.
Patient care demand has created the need for this addition, which will enable Gulf Breeze Hospital to grow with the Gulf Breeze community.

The annex will feature a 1,200–square–foot inpatient physical therapy gym as well as 10 new private patient rooms. These rooms will be slightly larger to support specialized medical equipment for orthopaedic patient care, but may be used for other patients as well.
A waiting area will also will be located in the annex to serve visitors to both 2–East and the expanded ICU. The current ICU waiting room will be converted to a PCU room. These additions will increase Gulf Breeze Hospital’s total number of inpatient beds from 65 to 77.
