When Should I Visit Walk–In Care?
Life’s minor injuries and illnesses can happen anytime and anywhere. The perfect time to visit Walk–In Care is when you have a minor injury or illness that isn’t life threatening or when your primary care doctor’s office is closed or unavailable. For example:
- After school, your high school athlete falls on the court and injures his ankle. When trying to put pressure on it, it continues to hurt and starts to swell.
- On a weekend, your small child’s cold is getting worse and may be running a fever.
- You’re cooking in the kitchen and slice your finger. It’s not life threatening, but you think it may need stitches.
Rest assured that if your minor illness or injury needs further attention by an emergency room, the Walk–In Care staff will make your transition from Walk–In Care to an affiliate emergency room as simple and as quick as possible. With our call–ahead ER procedure, you will be checked–in at the ER prior to your arrival and receive prompt, efficient and quality care.
Comprehensive, Coordinated Care
Because we understand that the best care is given with the patient’s complete history in mind, the staff at Baptist Walk–In Care will work with your family medicine physician whenever possible. If you come to Walk–In Care and do not have a primary care physician, our staff can help you find one. For help finding a primary care physician now, please consult our physician directory.
Insurance & Affordability
Access to urgent, affordable health care is as easy as walking through our doors. Treatment at Walk–In Care is cost effective and covered by insurance in most cases, but it is always best to check with your insurance carrier for confirmation.
