Baptist Health Care Offers Speakers Bureau
Baptist Health Care recently initiated an organization-wide speakers bureau to provide free, timely health information to area groups seeking speakers. Composed of physicians, medical personnel and mental health counselors, this group volunteers its time, and is prepared to speak on various topics of interest.
This service is available to all non-profits and civic organizations, and a simple phone call puts the process in motion. To book a speaker, please provide the name of the group requesting the speaker, the date, time, location, expected attendance, length of talk and preferred topic desired. Please be specific about the topic and length of talk needed. Although weekday meetings work best for our speakers, every effort will be made to accommodate weekend events. Whenever possible, request your speaker several weeks in advance. Once a speaker is confirmed, you will be notified.
General topics available include allergies; bladder and urological problems; cancer treatments and services; circulation and vascular disease; colon problems; ear, nose and throat problems; exercise and health; geriatric care; eye problems; foot problems; health maintenance; heart problems; home health issues; interventional radiology; knee, shoulder and arthritis problems; mental health counseling; organ donation; patient rights, responsibilities, confidentiality and privacy; registration, billing and financial responsibilities for hospital patients; sleep disorders; surgical procedures; women?s services and wound care.
